The 55-year-old school completed the first of a three-phase, $57.5 million renovation, funded by Measure C and H. The school started the 2022-23 school year with 47,000 square feet of new facilities, including 32 new K-5 classrooms, four new offices, and five new staff workrooms. The new classrooms feature daylight harvesting windows, dimmable lighting, skylights, high-efficiency all-electric heat pump HVAC units, low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) wood finishes, and exterior sun shades over the windows. New classroom buildings include a teacher collaboration space, staff and student restrooms, a custodial closet, and a room for speech therapy, counseling and more.
